Let's introduce you to our Supervisor Tufting Jan

| Jan has always been interested in the process behind how products are put together and produced. After his graduation in engineering, he started working at the new state-of-the-art factory of Condor Grass and built already nearly 5 years of experience.

My role as Supervisor Tufting

'My day starts with analyzing the KPIs and data from the last 24 hours to get insight into the performance of the production. Here, I look at the production speed and quality of our artificial grass products. After this analysis, I go to regular morning meetings with my team to discuss the KPIs and the possible improvements and to focus on Lean's Six Big Losses. This is an effective method that helps to categorize equipment-based losses effectively. The goal is to continuously improve and optimize the production process, which I like the most with the use of effective tools!'

Working in a team

The enthusiasm Jan experiences in his team to work together on improvements makes his job valuable and informative. Collaboration is after all the key element to efficient and smart production processes.

'The engagement and contact I have with my team and colleagues make my job very pleasant. There are colleagues working here with many more years of experience than I have, from whom I learn a lot about yarns and types of products, and keep developing myself. This allows us to work together as a team and to get the best results.'

My vision

Jan sees Condor Grass, as a member of Condor Group, as an innovative, sustainable organization with a dynamic environment.

'With innovative solutions and a state-of-the-art machine park, we strive to achieve optimal and efficient production processes. Our automatic creeling-system is also an example of this. In addition, within Condor Group, there is considerable development on sustainability and circular products, and within Condor Grass we are also working on these developments as well. Besides that, each week, even each day is different. Our organization never stands still in terms of constant development!

Jan, thank you for your interesting contribution. Have a great time at Condor Grass!
